SAKAARA Birunga is planned for Kinigi, Rwanda, in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains near Volcanoes National Park.
How many cottages and private spas are planned?
The lodge is planned with ten cottages and twenty keys. There will be twenty private spas, one for each key.
How is SAKAARA connected to the local community?
SAKAARA works in partnership with Ubumuntu Home Village, a group of seventeen families. The project is being developed with a focus on locally rooted skills and livelihoods.
